Submissions

Authors must log in or register with the Diyala Journal for Veterinary Sciences (DJVS) in order to submit a manuscript through the journal’s online submission system.

Before submitting a manuscript, authors must ensure that the submission complies with the journal’s Author Guidelines, ethical requirements, manuscript template, and publication policies.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to confirm that their manuscript complies with all of the following requirements. Submissions that do not meet these requirements may be returned to the authors for correction before editorial screening or peer review.

  1. The manuscript has not been previously published and is not currently under consideration by another journal. If any related material has been published or submitted elsewhere, this must be clearly explained in the “Comments to the Editor” section.
  2. The manuscript file is submitted in Microsoft Word format (.docx) or another editable format accepted by the journal.
  3. The manuscript has been prepared using the official DJVS manuscript template and follows the formatting requirements stated in the Author Guidelines.
  4. The text is written in clear academic English, uses 12-point font unless otherwise specified in the journal template, and follows consistent formatting throughout the manuscript.
  5. All figures, tables, illustrations, and supplementary materials are properly cited in the text and placed in appropriate locations within the manuscript, where required.
  6. All references cited in the text are included in the reference list, and all references listed at the end of the manuscript are cited in the text.
  7. DOI links are provided for references whenever available.
  8. URLs for references and online sources are provided where available and appropriate.
  9. The manuscript includes all required statements, where applicable, including ethical approval, informed consent, animal owner consent, conflict of interest, funding, authors’ contributions, and data availability.
  10. The manuscript has been checked carefully for plagiarism, inappropriate text overlap, duplicate publication, image manipulation, data fabrication, data falsification, and any other form of research or publication misconduct.
  11. The submitted manuscript has been anonymized where required for double-blind peer review.
  12. All authors have approved the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission to DJVS.

Reference DOI Example

Authors should include the DOI for each reference whenever available. Example:

Manuscript Section

Manuscripts submitted to DJVS are processed under the appropriate journal section according to their subject area and article type. The editorial office may reassign a submission to a more appropriate section when necessary.

Privacy Statement

The names, email addresses, affiliations, and other personal information entered in the DJVS website will be used only for the stated purposes of the journal, including manuscript submission, editorial management, peer review, publication, indexing, archiving, and communication with authors, reviewers, and editors.

Personal information will not be sold, shared, or used for purposes unrelated to the journal. Access to such information is limited to authorized journal personnel and system administrators where necessary for journal operations.
